Marc Ellis Takes up Wanaka Marathon Effort for Charity
Monday, 22 November, 2010

In 2009 New Zealander Mal Law made history by becoming the first person ever to run NZ’s seven Great Walks in just seven days – a total distance of 360 kms in the longest week of his life. It was an adventure to honour the memory of his brother Alan, who died as a teenager from leukaemia. In completing the 7in7 Mal raised more than $85,000 for the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation of NZ and so helped make a huge difference to people suffering from this cruel illness.

The Twin Lakes Marathon from Lake Hawea to Lake Wanaka will be the first run in Malcolm Law's 2010 7in7 Challenge.

The Twin Lakes Marathon is a 100% charity event. Everyone giving time, resources, gear is all at no charge. Every dollar raised goes straight to the Leukemia & Blood Foundation.

If you want to take part, either as an individual or 2, 3 or 4 person team, you will need to have raised $400 for charity. Click through to www.7in7.org.nz to register.

Mal encourages others to join him in his challenge, running with him on any of the seven legs.

$94,712 raised by 7in7 Challenge 2010 so far.
